Love from your MC Riley

Speeches

On Friday the 7th of September it was the Sunnyhills speech competition. I was the MC/Announcer of the comp along with Rebecca. All the speeches were brilliant. Luckily we didn't have to judge the competition, because I wouldn't know who to choose!
The winner of the competition was Jake Foster with his speech about Devices vs Sugar. The students from our class Auralie and Mia did amazing. Mia came 3rd! They all did a phenomenal job, all of the time practicing paid off.

The Buddhist Temple

Chinese Calligraphy

At the Buddhist temple, the first thing room 1 did was calligraphy.

We learned to do Chinese calligraphy. Calligraphy is a way people write in many different countries. We practiced writing Chinese characters. We had lots of fun doing this, but I think I was the only one who didn’t finish!

Thank you for ALL the parents who came along, especially my dad Adrian, Noah's mum Lynn and Blake's mum Amanda. You are awesome!

blog post

Congratulations Jamie and Riley. You really deserve those awards. You guys have been showing great growth mindsets in class, especially in Maths. You guys never give up in class and that's why you got those awards. You always have smiles on your faces and room 1 are so lucky to have you. Keep it up.
