Big Foot Bike School!

We have been so lucky to have Big Foot come and teach us all about Bike safety. 

The training included: 

• What we should wear to protect our head, body and feet, 
• How to check our helmet for cracks 
• How to bike safely to, from and around the school, 
• Road rules, including what we do when we need to turn left or right,
• How to make sure we are in a 'bike ready' position, and 
• The four check process to ensure our bike is safe to ride,

Arts Week Activities

During Arts week we had the opportunity to work with other year 6 classes! We took two drama and two dance workshops. We also did Visual Art with our own teachers. 

Drama

Room 1 loved doing the freeze frames with Mr Mac.

Visual Art

During arts week we began our Autumn artwork (Yes it's no longer Autumn... but the leaves were EVERYWHERE). This is only the first step to creating our new pieces. We used real leaves found around the school to create our realistic prints. It can be a tricky process but it was such a fun experience seeing our prints revealed!

CONGRATULATIONS JACK!

A huge Thank you to the PTA for the Mathathon draw. I know Jack is super grateful for his prize and it is well deserved (he got 100% in his test)!

Buddy Class

Every Friday we pop into our year 2 buddy class Room 21!

We help them with their spelling, by taking and marking their spelling tests. We absolutely love connecting with other classrooms in the school.

Room 1 Mrs. Cometti is very proud of how you look at for these guys on the playground and help them in their learning. You are so patient and gentle. Keep being the amazing year six leaders you are!
